A massive stroke of sea salt unites the hand-carved cement slabs, creating a cohesive installation that appears to float despite its incredible scale and 3,000 pound weight.
Fernando Mastrangelo also created an edition of the installation for Avra's Beverly Hills location, cast entirely from sand with a raw edge that invokes the undulating movement of the sea and the nuanced textures of the shoreline.
